Français – L’annonce publicitaire (Advertisement) – Summative Evaluation.
Ongoing throughout the week.
Students are working in small teams of 4 to create an advertisement (poster). The theme is: anti-bullying! And so far, we’re in the editing process. They’re doing great! It’s awesome! I can’t wait to show you the finished product. What a creative little bunch we have.
Drama & Social Sciences – La campagne – Summative Evaluation.
Begins Friday, November 23rd, 2012.
On Friday, the students begin presenting their dramatic reinterpretation of a song that we have been studying for nearly three weeks now. They’re very excited about this project, and I can’t wait to see their finished results. Those who do not present Friday will present on Monday. Be ready! And for the reminder, here is the success criteria chart that the students have used to guide them in this presentation.
Math – Geometry and Spatial Sense – Summative Evaluation.
Monday, November 26th, 2012.
As of today (22.11.12), we finish our formative evaluation. The feedback from the students so far? They loved it. We will be correcting the evaluation (hopefully today), so that it can be sent home and students can begin practicing as soon as possible. Here is our classroom cheat sheet.
Our first class party!
We’ve got just enough points in our classroom to have a PJ/movie day. It will be taking place on Tuesday, November 27th. Unfortunately, I will not be there – I will be attending a networking session for the school board. But I will be leaving treats and a great movie to reward these guys on all the hard work that they have put in. So proud of them! May this be the first of many reward parties.
You will be getting the artwork that your kids have been doing since we started together soon. Look out for it, as we transition our fall wall to a winter one.
